Schröder is a very proud native of Berlin. Born in 1949, he studied sociology and publishing at the Free University of Berlin. Since 1988, his career has included positions as Managing Director of Ketchum Public Relations in Berlin, CEO of ABC Agentur für Kommunikation, and CEO and Chairman of Hill & Knowlton Communications, Germany (as of 2000). He has also been President of Berlin's Marketing Club since October 2005.

Michael Schröder joined wbpr as a Managing Partner in May 2007. His particular focus is the provision of consulting services to customers in the public affairs and corporate spheres.
