Studied economics and languages, and occupied various management positions in the industry before establishing his own agency, wbpr, in 1980. Acted as FDP spokesperson on economic policy in the Bavarian Parliament (1990-1994) and is a long-standing Plenary Member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Munich and Upper Bavaria.
